ATTENTION CFedS!!! Continuing Education has arrived!

BLM is pleased to announce the arrival of the first of several continuing education courses designed for CFedS. The course entitled “Special Boundary Problems I” is hot off the press and is available for any CFedS who is ready to expand their knowledge.

The course is distance learning and will be an addition to your DVD set or your CFedS hard drives. This course goes into far more complex issues and is designed to expand the CFedS’s knowledge about how to deal with overlaps, hiatuses, and junior/senior corner situations in the public lands.

It is worth 3 CFedS credits (or one year’s continuing education requirement). BLM estimates it will take about 10 hours to complete. While there is no time limit on completion, individual CFedS must manage their own completion of sufficient courses to satisfy their 2 year renewal process.

To register for this course, go to the cfeds.org website, log in, and under CFedS, click on the CE Information link. From there you can select the Special Boundary Problems I course to review the course description, objectives, instructors, course length, and cost. Once you are ready to order, select the Purchase Course button. Payment will be made through the ACSM e-store as before.

Around August 18, we will announce the next continuing education course, “Introduction to the Geographic Coordinate Data Base”.
