Course Description
The CFedS Panel has approved several courses designed to familiarize CFedS with key IBLA decisions. The course will consist of the following elements:
- Read the Delzell 158 IBLA 238 case which is located under the IBLA section of the CFedS website.
- You must pass a test on the subject matter on the CFedS website.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, students will understand the importance of careful documentation, the Boards’ interpretation of an obliterated corner vs. a lost corner, and have a better insight into the Board’s interpretation of the judicial function of a surveyor.

Upon reaching the final quiz, you must answer at least 80% of the questions correctly to achieve a passing grade. Retakes are limited to once per 24 hour period.
