Salary Ranges – Anchorage, Alaska
GS 13: $116,811 – $151,858 per year
- Serve as BLM’s principal liaison for the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) and Tribal Offices concerning boundary surveys, land ownership, Fee-to-Trust transactions and other legal and technical matters related to trust and Federal interest lands.
- Resolve sensitive issues involving complex Indian land survey and title situations.
- Research, document, collect, and interpret administrative and historical records, for survey situations requiring extensive research, study, adaptation of records, history, and conflicting legal precedents for Federal and non-Federal sources.
- Plan, direct, document, and guide complex surveys and boundary investigations; design and collect accurate geodetic data. Prepare field notes of surveys in final form from field returns and prepare plats of surveys in near final form.
- Perform on-site observations such as corner search, collection of field measurements for informational or investigative purposes, make GPS locational observations, and process their findings.
