Salary Ranges –
GS 12: $74,441 – $96,770 per year
This position is located in the New Mexico State Office, Division of Lands and Resources. Remote work is NOT an option for this position. This position is permanently on-site in a BLM office which will be negotiated upon selection. If the selected BLM office cannot host the position, the incumbent would be notified and offered the default location, which is Albuquerque, NM.
- Plan, direct, document, and guides highly complex surveys and land boundary investigations.
- Plan/lead/conduct cadastral surveys and resurveys of the Public Land Survey System.
- Evaluate past and present water boundary characteristics to determine whether water boundary locations are the result of accretion, avulsion, erosion, or relictions.
- Design and collection of accurate geodetic data, in order to verify accuracy and reliability of existing surveys and/or to provide more precise positions for the Geographic Coordinate Data Base (GCDB).
- Use field-to-finish software and hardware, including but not limited to, GMM, AutoCAD, ArcGIS Pro, Carlson Survey, and CAPD.
- Participate in land boundary and ownership meetings with Government and tribal employees as well as members of the general public, congressional staffs, and other interested parties.
