This position is located in the New Mexico State Office performing work that involves establishing, investigating, and reestablishing land and property boundaries for descriptions of tracts of land.

Salary Ranges –
GS 11-12: $74,741 – $116,463 per year
- Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
- Performs work that involves establishing, investigating, and reestablishing land and property boundaries for descriptions of tracts of land.
- Will serve as the State Office public relations contact concerning major boundary surveys, land ownership issues, and other legal and technical matters.
- These matters are related to Federal interest lands affecting the recognized Indian Nations, Bureau of Indian Affairs, US Forest Service, Bureau of Reclamation, National Park Service and other Federal agencies.
- Prepares legal reports, field notes of surveys, plats of surveys, and other documents to support survey decisions and serve as a permanent record.
- Participates in land boundary and ownership meetings with government and tribal employees as well as members of the general public, congressional staffs, and other interested parties.
